L\u2019appareil exp\u00e9rimental HB-SXA a r\u00e9ussi sa tentative de record du monde d\u2019altitude \u00e0 la seule \u00e9nergie solaire, en s\u2019appuyant aussi sur les thermiques propres \u00e0 la topographie valaisanne. Cette mission, initi\u00e9e par l\u2019\u00e9co-explorateur suisse Rapha\u00ebl Domjan en 2014, poursuit le but de r\u00e9aliser le premier vol stratosph\u00e9rique solaire. L\u2019h\u00e9lice comporte 3 pales et a un diam\u00e8tre de 2,1 m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cellules solaires<\/strong>&nbsp;: Les ailes de SolarStratos, couvrant une surface d\u2019environ 22 m\u00b2, sont \u00e9quip\u00e9es de cellules solaires de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Celles-ci alimentent des batteries lithium-ion, dont la capacit\u00e9 atteignait 32,5 kWh lors du vol record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fuselage<\/strong> : Le fuselage et les ailes sont enti\u00e8rement construites en fibre de carbone, assurant l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et solidit\u00e9. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa tr\u00e8s grande envergure, l&rsquo;appareil peut voler \u00e0 basse vitesse.
